Our boy has arthritis which can get debilitating on some days- especially when the weather is cold he can barely get up. The brace offer stability and support helping our dog to manage the discomfort and get around more easily. We got the extra extra large and the size seems perfect. It takes a while to get used to if your dog isn’t used to wearing a support device but they catch on fairly quick since it probably feels good. Start with 30 a day and increase wear time a little longer each day until you’ve reached a max of 15 hours if needed for that long. Remember to remove several times a day to allow skin to breathe and give your dog a break etc. it’s not meant to wear continuously. Good quality product…

There’s just not a great way to stabilize a dog’s leg. This product helped our senior pup. The foster pup was much younger and wanted to wrestle. Resident pup loved a good game of tag and wrestle, but old age … It was easy to get on him. The instructions for measurement and fitting were good.

My 93 pound, 10 year old, golden retriever, tore her meniscus in her rear, right knee wrestling with her 5 year old golden retriever sister. Luckily, it was only a slight tear and not a complete tear and we were prescribed rest and limited mobility with a predicted 6 week recovery time. I was surprised that my girl was receptive to putting on the brace and she never once tried to pull it off. I think it helped to stabilize her knee and made walking a little bit easier. Lucky for us, her recovery time was only about 4 weeks and I contribute her speedy recovery partially to the use of the brace. I would remove the brace at night, so she got used to putting it on and taking it off, but I really think she knew it was helping her.

Dog has one good hind leg and tore cruciate ligament in it. Hips are too slopey for regular braces so this one with strap worked fairly well. He has to wear left and right. Much better with a chest collar though-neck collar would get tight with dog moving around. Dog is 13 but otherwise in good health.
